The Egyptian Ministry of International Cooperation has announced a report of the national efforts and plans to face the coronavirus and reduce its spread

As the potential increase of coronavirus risk, the ministry said 27 laboratories in the country have the ability to test cases in addition to university laboratories.

The country has been working with the World Health Organization (WHO) to prevent transmission of Coronavirus.

Among the efforts is increasing capacity to reach to 200,000 tests within two weeks, In addition to the frequent 15-Day sterilization campaigns implemented in cities and villages to stop the virus spread, adding acute-care capacity, providing ventilators and building stock of other medical supplies.

The ministry said that eight isolation hospitals with 2,000 beds have been done, including 1,000 Intensive care beds and 400 ventilators. Field hospitals have been built for mild and asthenopic cases.
